The paramour and I ate out tonight. Afterward we went for a stroll through the nature preserve on the east side of the estuary. There's a small wooden platform there which gives a nice view over the saltwater marsh and across the bay to the city, with Mount Benson dominating the skyline.
There's also a geocache there.
It was a fairly easy find which finally got me to the magic number of 100 caches found since I took up the pastime, just four and a half months ago.
To celebrate, the paramour presented me with a "One Hundred Finds" geo-achievement coin. Apparently zie's been sitting on the coin for weeks now, and was getting even more impatient for me to crack 100 than I was.
The coin is a trackable, meaning that I can register it online and then place it in a cache somewhere to see where it ends up. It's a pretty coin, though, so I'm not sure that I want to let my baby loose in a cold an uncaring world. We'll see. The coin comes with a small pin sporting the same design, so if I do decide to set the coin free I'll still have that as a keepsake.
